to the "temporary"
official web site for the Jefferson County Historical Society (JCHS) of Jefferson County, NY.

An impressive Victorian structure with Swiss chalet traits built in 1876.  Period furnishings are on display in the parlors with permanent and changing exhibits in the remaining rooms of the mansion.  A gift shop and Victorian garden are also on site.

The collections include Tyler coverlets, Tuthill protraits, water turbines, 19th century textiles and farm tools, Civil War artifacts and vintage carriages, a Babcock car and amblance.
